The Peoria County SWCD Board of Directors typically meets the second Tuesday of the month in the conference room at the USDA Service Center, 6715 N Smith Road, Edwards at 8:30 AM. Depending on farming season, dates and times may change. Please contact the office for information. All are welcome to attend.

Our Board of Directors are publicly elected at our Annual Meeting each year and serve 2-year terms. If you are curious about the business of the SWCD or are interested in volunteering your time, we encourage you to attend one of our monthly meetings.
Every year we hold an Annual Meeting to provide landowners in Peoria County with an update of our yearly accomplishments and highlights as well as to hold our annual election for the Directors whose term will soon expire. Currently in the even numbered years we have three of the five directors up for election/re-election and in the odd numbered years the other two would be up for election/re-election. Around 2007, we began having a breakfast meeting on a Saturday morning in February. We always invite County Board members, State Legislators and other distinguished guests and give them a chance to share what they know with the group. Staff also gives reports of the year's progress, budgeting, and offers updates about our various sales and educational programs. Also, thanks to the hard work of our dedicated Directors, we have a large number of door prizes ranging from restaurant gift cards, baskets, gas cards and other things.
