The Peoria County SWCD is a local unit of government authorized under the District Act of 1937. We operate in all of Peoria County, Illinois. We assist landowners and operators with state and federal conservation programs that help to reduce soil erosion, improve water quality and increase wildlife habitat. While a portion of our operating funds comes from the Illinois Department of Agriculture, we also engage in several different interagency agreements in an effort to increase benefits to Peoria County residents and to raise the necessary funds to help promote our various educational programs. We also offer several sales that help to promote our programming.
Mission Statement
